The Rena-reader will be reusable for a long period of time (years) while the cartridges will be for a single use (one per analysis). The Rena-reader includes all the electronics, the battery and the software for data processing and data transmission. The cartridge is a disposable unit, composed by the sensors, the calibration step and the sample management.
